about me

I began my yoga practice at the end of the 1990’s whilst an undergraduate student and have been teaching since 2005.

My current interpretation of yoga is influenced by classical Hatha and somatic awareness practices.

I’ve been teaching in SE London for 20 years and have a loyal following of students.  I studied Ashtanga yoga under Patthabi Jois in Mysore, India in the early 2000’s and taught vinyasa based yoga for many years.  I’m also highly experienced in pregnancy yoga and post-natal yoga and have taught hundreds of women and their babies.

I am a specialist in therapeutic yoga for Women’s Health and Yoga Nidra and am currently training in somatic awareness practices.

I came to yoga looking for a solution to the back pain I suffered as I have a scoliosis and had a spinal fusion in 1990.  I have a special interest in working with people with back pain.

I am a highly experienced retreat leader both in the UK and overseas, having lead over 20 residential retreats.
